Learn How I Redesigned a Retro Telephone Chair
Today I come to you with another great thrift store find! This one I found at the Brass Armadillo in Omaha, Nebraska. The Brass Armadillo is a chain antique mall and is great because it includes several vendors and booths under one roof.
I had been wanting to find a piece of furniture to fit in my entry-way that was unique and vintage. What I found was a telephone table! While once wildly popular they are less common now with the use of cellphones. The telephone table I found was a dark wood and did not really fit with the style of my living room, so I did some DIY work and made it my own.
After sanding and re-painting the piece a bright yellow I found some great fabric, re-upholstered the seat and voila-the perfect entry-way piece with a modern touch! I could not be happier. Now I just need a retro rotary phone to go with it…..
