Easy Do-It-Yourself Retro Christmas Wreath
This past weekend I had so much fun getting together with my mom and sister to create our own holiday Christmas wreaths! I feel like I am always on the hunt for a good holiday wreath but never seem to find one I love. After seeing a Christmas wreath online made out of old Christmas ornaments I knew I had to make my own! I mentioned the idea to my family and they were all in!
We spent a day scouring the local thrift stores looking for the perfect ornaments. I of course wanted anything vintage and retro looking in bright blues, greens and pinks. We added some filler ornaments from Wal-Mart and general Christmas balls I just happened to have laying around the house.
To make the wreaths we purchased foam rounds at Michael’s and silver/gold garland from Walgreens. That included with the price of ornaments ended up costing us not much more than $40 - and we got something custom made that we were sure to love.
Using the time tested hot glue gun we stuck everything on. I now have a the PERFECT retro Christmas wreath and know I will love it for years to come! Plus as an added bonus every time I look at it I will remember the fun I had making it with my mom and sister.
